I have a love/hate relationship with liquid eyeliner. I happen to be really good at applying it, but only to my left eye. Once I get over to the right eye, my skills and confidence dissipate. My eyelashes seem to get in the way of making a straight line and black smudges somehow end up everywhere. This being said, I have practiced a lot to create a satisfying liquid eyeliner look on both eyes. I do love the effect liquid liner gives as opposed to pencil. Here are some photos of three different styles of lining for the eye that I have mastered over time.
1. For a basic look – apply a thin line of liquid eyeliner (I used Almay liquid liner) along your upper lashes until the outer corner of your eye.
2. Cat eye – apply a slightly thicker line along the upper lashes with a curved up tip past the outer corner of your lid.
3. Lastly, apply a much thicker line that ends with a blunt vertical edge rather than a curved tip. keep the edge of this close to the outer corner of your eye.
